Plaid All Over 💋

I think it’s safe to say that the most plaid I’ve ever worn in my entire life is a plaid shirt, but this year I’m taking up a notch! Outside of the fact that it was SUPER AFFORDABLE, here’s why I absolutely love this look.

It’s so comfortable!! The top and bottom appear to be made out of a fleece material that not only keeps you warm, but is super stretchy. The fabric isn’t itchy either like other types of sweater like materials and most importantly, it’s so forgiving! But let’s not get too excited, you do have to think twice about making this buy if you’re a broader shouldered woman due to the fact that the style of the top could make you look a tad bit boxy.

Now that I think about it, this probably would’ve been my go to Thanksgiving day look since it’s laid back, yet dressy enough to look as if much thought was put into my appearance. The skirt has a stretchy band and is made to fit loosely around the stomach area for the more tummy conscious woman.

Surprisingly, the skirt doesn’t rise up like most fitted pieces and the top is long enough to be tucked in while also appearing to be cropped! And for those colder days, a wool coat and a nice pair of stiletto boots would be a great way to top things off! I haven’t worn a heel this thin in a while but a chunky heel would do no justice to this extremely chic look. I opted to go for a black pair of heels instead of a nude pair since a darker shoe made the entire look pop more without taking away from the main subject of attention.

Do you think this could pass through as a work look? I think I’ve built up a pretty good repertoire of fashionable looks to be able to pull it off at the office. I’d definitely have to switch out the heels for a comfortable pair of chic flats because no one has time to pull off eight hour days in stiletto booties!
