Noir Beauty Event!

You could say that I’ve attended a fair amount of events this year, but it’s usually more business than pleasure. Whether I’m there as a guest or purchase my tickets, the question is always the same. What am I going to get out of attending this function?

I believe hosting quality events is a most! No matter the theme or occasion, great attention to detail should be applied when making sure an event runs smoothly. But I’m not writing this post about how awesome this event was. I’m writing about some of the things I noticed or better yet learned from being a guest at the first Noir Beauty event.

1. Being Personable Is Extremely Important

Whether you’re the people hosting the event or one of the guest, you shouldn’t look unapproachable. Events like this are meant for like-minded individuals to come and bask in the fact that there are other individuals out there who share the same interests. If your outfit or makeup is fire, expect to get some looks. Whether they’re looks of approval or disapproval is not your business, it’s your job to respond with a smile. If you know in your heart that there’s nothing wrong with how you look then don’t let the stares of potentially shy admirers get to you. You never know who you’ll meet again at a future event so refrain from burning bridges.

2. Having Quality Goodie Bags Is Much Appreciated

I never knew how lacking some of these “goodie bags” were until I attended this event. Not only was the bag I received very hefty,  it had very functional products inside. And by functional I mean products that you could actually put on your hair without making it fall off. They didn’t try to cheat you by putting one or two samples surrounded by a lot of informative flyers about the vendors. The beauty products are generous in regards to quantity, therefore, they should last us longer than two days. Gifts of appreciation such as these not only makes the guest feel good about their decision to come, but it leaves room for them to come to future events also. So just in case you ever plan on having a “beauty” event, reach out to vendors who are more than willing to make your event’s goodie bags one to remember.

3. Step Outside The Boat

You’ll never know  if something can truly be a success unless you try it. Even though this was the first Noir Beauty event, the bloggers, naturalistas and general public were definitely in attendance. The hosts Coco and Jessica were a breath of fresh air, but most of all, you could tell that they really worked hard to make sure everything fell in place. I was taken back by how surprised yet thankful they were at the turn out of their event. Coco even called this event her “baby”, so I can only imagine how many late nights went into making sure her vision came to life. Jessica was inspired by all the multi-faceted guests that attended, so I’m definitely looking out for more projects from her. Of course this is just the beginning and there’s better to come, but this was definitely a great start. Pick up your notepad and learn from them, don’t be afraid to reach out to those who share the same vision as you. But please pray about it first and remember that some people are not always who they appear to be. Nonetheless, collabing with a friend or fellow visionary can make the dream a reality if you’re both willing to put in the work.

Ok everyone, that’s all I have for you today. I don’t want this post to be too long so I’ll just end it here. I hope I’ve given you some noteworthy information and some potential points to think about when attending your next event!

Until Next Time,

Embler 💋
