Brunch Is Served!

Brunch is hands down my favorite meal of the day. I usually don’t eat breakfast so having the option to eat “breakfast food” later in the day gets me excited every time. In this post, I’ll be talking about my three favorite brunch spots around Houston!

Brunch unlike breakfast allows you to order heavier items such as s fried chicken, sweet potato fries or mac and cheese. Then unlike the typical lunch menu, you’re given options like scrambled eggs, french toast and mimosa. In a way you could say it’s the best of both worlds!

1.

My favorite brunch spot so far is Jupiter Pizza and Waffle Co. located in Sugarland’s town center. I love how small yet airy the establishment is and I absolutely appreciate how large the portions are. The dish you see below was an option on their happy hour menu. Just wait to you see how hefty their regular priced plates are. The sweet potatoes fries here… are unmatched.

2.

My next favorite brunch spot is Bovine and Barley located in the heart of downtown. Besides having to pay for parking, I thoroughly enjoyed the bar like ambiance and the not so bar like food! I label the food “not so bar like” because it’s actually good. Usually when you go to a bar, you’re forced to eat their sad attempts of chips and queso or tacos. But this bar absolutely out did itself. The tacos were beyond amazing, my mouth is watering just thinking about them!

3.

My last favorite brunch spot is Max’s WIne Dive located on Washington Avenue. It’s a little on the pricier side and the portions aren’t too large but the Mac and Cheese there is heavenly! The mimosa could have been filled a little bit more though. The side of french toast was delicious too, even though it cost me $4 extra.

Out of all the new restaurants I’ve tried, these three have surpassed the rest. But don’t worry I plan on definitely checking out more brunch spots around town! Keep an eye out for a more updated post !
