Today I ate at Max’s Wine Dive for the first time when I went to brunch with some of my friends. We went to the Fairview location here in Houston. Since this was my first time eating here, I had no problems with the portions but one of my friends did complain about how the Washington Avenue location had better portions and cheaper prices for the same food that this location had.
My friend had the mimosa with orange juice and I had the one with grapefruit. I can honestly say that I liked it better with grapefruit but then again I was never a fan of orange juice to begin with.
I ordered the Max ‘n Cheese with a side of french toast. I don’t know what exactly made me love the Max ‘n Cheese so much, maybe it was the bread crumbs, but I really enjoyed my meal. The french toast was alright but it was definitely not worth the six dollars they charged me to add it on.
Along with the food, I also loved the ambiance of the place too! It had somewhat of a vintage/retro look to it.
I really appreciate how we were able to see the kitchen from where we were sitting 😀
